For that reason, I wouldn’t recommend these as a gift for children. The gold on top is hand painted and contains real gold. This requires a third firing at a lower temperature than regular glaze. If you scratch the surface a lot, the gold will wear down over time.
If you want to clean your earrings, I recommend doing that with a soft jewelry cloth. You can also carefully wash with some soft soap, but don’t use a scrubbing sponge. This way your pieces will be pretty as long as possible ♥
